Column
The Column is a two-part mechanical puzzle that hides its mechanism inside a fluted form. The interior shuttle pops out easily. Putting it back in is a different problem. A hidden trick makes reassembly harder than the silhouette suggests, and the solution requires listening, feeling, and reasoning through the sequence rather than forcing anything.
Curio's original design, manufactured in our factory in Asia. Solved, it sits as a clean architectural object on a desk or shelf. For the design and production story, read How We Designed The Column.

I supported Curio over Kickstarter. It is a very fun puzzle and I enjoyed it very much. The interaction with Curio was also very good as there were some delivery problems and they solved all the issues. I can only recommend them for all future transactions. Thank you very much and good luck with the new puzzles.
a deceptively simple-looking puzzle, very pleasing to hold, & enjoyable to solve. uncomplicated, but still engaging.
Great and unique puzzle which was a lot of fun to solve. Looking forward to more like this!
If I had to choosea thing to improve, it would be the color that easily scratches away. Magnets pull it inside a few times and the black color on the edges goes away
Column is a very interesting puzzle. You pull it out of the fancy velvet packaging and feel its heft and eggshell finish. You notice its symmetry. The ends appear identical and you start to wonder, "What am I to do here?" But then something does give and, oh no, you suddenly realize what is puzzling about it!
Column is professionally manufactured with pieces that glide very smoothly across each other. Intriguing, frustrating, simple appearance but tricky solution...
Picked up mine today, the puzzle feels really heavy and good. The box however had a rough life after UPS f*cked up the delivery a couple of times.
I would LOVE to let backers have their pick of delivery options but you'll have to talk to @Kickstarter for that. That said, next time I'm going to use boxes not padded bags and use a different delivery company. Thanks for the feedback!
